ALL families must come in person to register your child for school. The only way to get your new teacher assignment is to come in person to register — we will not be posting lists over the weekend prior to school.
Registration Dates and Times:
- EARLY BIRD: Monday, August 14, 3-6pm — avoid the lines, come early, be the first to learn your new teacher ****
- MAIN EVENT: Friday, August 18, 1-2pm KINDERGARTEN ONLY (followed by K Orientation in the classrooms); 2-5pm — all grades ****
- LAST MINUTE: Monday, August 21 (FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL) — 7:45-9am

SIMPLIFY THE REGISTRATION PROCESS AND SAVE TIME BY FILLING OUT YOUR PAPERWORK PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION DATES – Please complete, PRINT, and bring the completed forms with you when you register. Please note, even if you complete these in advance, there will be additional paperwork you need to complete at registration.

The required forms for registration are:
OUSD Student Registration Packet (Policy Signature Page) — The last two pages of this four-page document must be filled out and signed by both the student and a parent or guardian.
Student Emergency Card — Use this form to provide emergency contact and disaster preparedness information for your family.
OUSD Acceptable Use of Technology Consent Form — This form is required for all students and must be signed both by the student and by a parent or guardian.
Request for Primary Language Assistance — Use this optional form to request free translation/interpretation services for your family.
Please be sure to PRINT your forms and bring them with you to registration. We will NOT be able to print them for you. Also, you should sign the forms IN INK.
All families must fill out an additional form (not downloadable) when registering: the OUSD Free & Reduced Lunch form. We need ALL households to fill out and submit this form even if you don’t qualify for free/reduced lunch because it helps determine whether Chabot receives additional funding. Please be sure to fill out this form for your household and submit it with your paperwork. In past years, based on the information gathered from these forms, Chabot has qualified for additional funding that goes toward improving all students’ education at our school.
**** Did you know that you need to register on line and be fingerprinted in order to be an official volunteer? For your convenience, we will be offering fingerprinting services at Registration, 3:30-6 pm on Monday, August 14 and 2-5 pm on Friday, August 18. Please register on line prior to coming by clicking the blue Volunteer Information button on our Home Page. Cost is $35 – please pay with cash, credit or debit.
