Chabot Elementary's new campus will preserve the original 1927 school building, with the addition of a new classroom building and a new multi-purpose building large enough to accommodate the entire school for assemblies. The library will relocate to the current auditorium, and the current library space will be converted to music rooms. Twelve of the 18 portables currently on campus will be replaced; the six nicest portables will be retained as classrooms.
