about chabot: way to grow!
Chabot: Way to Grow! is an ambitious $300,000 capital campaign organized by the Chabot PTA to fund the completion of Chabot’s campus master plan. Chabot Elementary is receiving $17.5 million from Measure B, the largest allocation of any school in the Oakland Unified School District. The new multi-purpose building and new library and media lab in our renovated auditorium will be complete in time for the 2009-10 school year. The new K-2 classroom building is scheduled for completion for the 2010-11 school year. ![]() Architect's rendering of the Chabot campus master plan Measure B funds, however, will not fully cover completion of the campus master plan. The Chabot: Way to Grow! campaign will fund reconstructing our school's signature garden program; library and media lab furniture and equipment; new playground equipment for the upper yard; and landscaping throughout the school grounds. (Click here for an overview of the WTG’s funding budget.) The Chabot: Way to Grow! committee, comprising a group of parent volunteers, is seeking to raise a $300,000 from a variety of sources, including parents, neighbors, businesses and foundations. If you are interested in supporting the Chabot: Way to Grow! campaign, or know of a party or organization that is, please contact waytogrow@chabotelementary.org. |
