After-School Programs

Chabot is extremely fortunate to have a wealth of after-school programs that allow our children to learn, play - or even do their homework.

Adventure Time is an independent before- and after-school program, with a Chabot branch on campus. After-School Programs are not a replacement for Adventure Time or other child care programs.

PTA After-School Enrichment Programs: Spring 2008

The Chabot PTA After-School Committee has organized a great line-up of enrichment classes for the Spring 2008 session. Programs begin the week of Monday, March 17 and run through Friday, June 6. (Note: there are some exceptions, please read the flyers carefully.) Classes fill up quickly, so be sure to send in your registration ASAP!

The day-by-day schedule below lists all Spring 2008 classes. Click the class names to view the individual information/registration forms in a new browser window (PDF format). A printer-friendly overview and class schedule including provider names and class locations is available here.

Please mail all registration forms and checks to the providers directly. Checks should be made payable to the individual providers. All providers offer at least one scholarship for each session. Please let the provider know if you need a scholarship.

Please note:

  • After-school programs are not a replacement for Adventure Time or other childcare programs.

  • There are many classes that do not start immediately after the school day! It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the student is either enrolled in Adventure Time or is supervised by an adult while on school premises before the start of any after-school program that begins more than 10 minutes after school gets out.
  • Neither the school nor the OUSD staff is responsible for the child's whereabouts once school is out. Parents or guardians are required to pick up their children promptly at the end of the program, or have arrangements already in place with Adventure Time. Kindergartners should be escorted to after-school programs, either by parents, by parent arrangement with AT if your child is enrolled that day, or by the provider. Kids in grades 1-5 may get themselves to their after school-program. Ultimately, this is the parent's responsibility and not the responsibility of the teachers or AT.
  • Adventure Time will receive a roster of students enrolled in each after-school program.
  • All program providers will offer at least one scholarship per session. Eligibility for and enrollment in scholarship slots will be managed by the principal in consultation with the class provider. Please let the program provider know if you need a scholarship.
  • Please confirm with providers to see if the class is being offered on odd schedule days, minimum days or non-minimum Wednesdays. Please note there will be no classes during the week of March 24-28 (Spring Break).
  • If you have specific questions about the programs, please call the program providers. If you have general questions about Chabot’s After-School program, please contact Kelly Wiegel (kweigel@bofasecurities.com, 510-207-0915) or Thao Diep (thaodw@gmail.com, 510-652-3992).
